Anna Somova-Mikhailova

Decorative and applied artist, singer. Daughter of Andrei Somov, sister of Konstantin Somov. Born in St Petersburg (1873). Studied painting and graphic art at home under the guidance of her brother. Contributed embroidered handbags made in collaboration with Konstantin Somov to the World of Art exhibition (1911) and independently made dress decorations, handbags and decorative panels to the following World of Art exhibitions (1912, 1916, 1917, 1918, 1924). Died in Leningrad and buried at the Volkovo Cemetery (1945).
