Thomas Malton the Elder

English engraver, draughtsman. Father of Thomas Malton the Younger (1748–1804). Worked in London, where he engraved aquatint views of St Petersburg (1798–90) after the drawings of Joseph Hearn, who lived in Russia (1783–90s).
