Painter, draughtsman, teacher. Born in the family of Alexander Pisemsky in Kostroma Province (1859). Studied at the Kostroma College and the Imperial Academy of Arts (1879–87). Awarded five silver medals and the titles of third-class artist (1887), second-class artist (1888) and first-class artist (1890). Member of the Mussar Mondays (from 1881), founding member of the Union of Russian Artists (1890–1903). Taught at the School of Drawing of the Society for the Encouragement of Artists (1890). Died in St Petersburg (1913). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Society of Russian Watercolourists, Fellowship of Artists and the International Exhibition in Berlin (1887).
