Sculptor. Born in the family of Pavel Timchenko in the city of Baku in Azerbaijan (1913). Studied at the Baku Technical College of Art (1930–33) and under Victor Sinaisky and Alexander Matveyev at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1937–46). Recreated the busts of Pyotr Semyonov-Tyan-Shansky (1987) and Modest Mussorgsky (1989) flanking the statue of Mikhail Lermontov at 54 Lermontov Prospekt in Leningrad (originally created by Vsyevolod Lishev in 1916 and dismantled in 1926). Died in St Petersburg (1991). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1947), including All Creatures Great and Small: Russian Animal Art (18th to 21st Centuries) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2004).
