Sculptress, applied artist, teacher. Born in the family of Nikolai Nikonov in the town of Pskov (1910). Studied at the VKhUTEIN/Institute of Proletarian Fine Art in Leningrad (1929–31). Worked as a fabric designer at Lenizo (1930–34). Studied under Victor Sinaisky (1936–41) and Alexander Matveyev (1945–46) at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad. Member of the Union of Artists (1946). Taught at the Vera Mukhina School of Art in Leningrad (1946–57). Worked as a sculptress at the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (1957–67). Died in St Petersburg (1997). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1952), including Times of Change: Art in the Soviet Union (1960–85) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2006).
