Grand Duke Mikhail Mikhailovich was born in Peterhof (1861). He concluded a morganatic marriage with Countess Sophie of Merenberg, granddaughter of Alexander Pushkin (1891). Banished to England, where they were granted the title of Count and Countess de Torby by Queen Victoria. Died in London (1929).
