The Museum of Collections was opened in 2003. The permanent exhibition is composed of works donated to the museum by famous collectors from St Petersburg – Joseph Ezrah and Alexander and Rosa Timofeyev. Their collections are now on display in eight rooms of the Upper Gardens House.
The collection of Joseph Ezrah contains priceless works of European porcelain and canvases by such famous Russian painters as Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Robert Falk, Mikhail Larionov, Natalia Goncharova, Anna Ostroumova-Lebedeva, Zinaida Serebryakova, Martiros Sarian, Pavel Kuznetsov and Victor Borisov-Musatov. The Timofeyev collection includes drawings by French and Italian masters dating from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries and works of agitprop porcelain from 1918 to 1923.
The museum is open from 10.30 am to 6 pm; ticket office closes at 5 pm
