Ivan Kolodin
Architect. Born in St Petersburg (?) as the illegitimate son of a former serf called Pelageya Kolodina and a man called Shtykov (1788). Studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1800–06). Awarded a minor silver medal (1804) and a first-class certificate and minor gold medal (1806). Worked at the Stroganovs’ Marino estate near St Petersburg. Died possibly in the Crimea (after 1838).
