Painter, decorator. Son of icon-painter Alexei Kalinin (worked mid to late 18th century). Serf of Count Pyotr Sheremetev. Worked in Kuskovo and Ostankino, painted stage sets for the Sheremetev serf theatres (1780s–90s).
