Painter. Studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1833–35). Awarded a minor silver medal (1834) and a major silver medal and the title of non-class artist (1835). Commissioned by Charles Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry, to paint a portrait of Tsar Nicholas I for two thousand roubles (1837). Painted portraits of Prince Nikita Dondukov-Korsakov (1840), Karl Brullov (1845) and Grand Duchess Anna Pavlovna (1846). Academician (1841).
