Josif Chaikov
Sculptor, teacher. Born in the family of Moisei Chaikov in Kiev (1888). Studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (1910–12), under the supervision of Naoum Aronson (1912–13) and at the École des Beaux-Arts (1912–13). Member of the Society of Russian Sculptors and Four Arts. Taught at the VKhUTEMAS/VKhUTEIN in Moscow (1923–32). Died in Moscow (1979). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1912).
