Igor Tulipanov

Painter, theatrical designer. Born in the family of Vissarion Tyulpanov in Leningrad (1939). Studied at the Admiral Makarov College of Naval Engineering in Leningrad, Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and under Nikolai Akimov at the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (1959–64). Designed for theatres in Moscow and Leningrad (until 1968). Emigrated to France (1977). Lives and works in New Jersey in the United States. Contributed to exhibitions (from 1963).
