Painter, theatrical designer. Born in Kremenchug (1902). Studied at the Kharkiv School of Art and the Kiev Academy of Arts. Emigrated to Paris (1921). Attended classes at the Académie de la Grande-Chaumière (1922). Lived at La Ruche (1923). Designed for the Ballets Russes (from 1946). Died in Paris (1977). Contributed to exhibitions at the Galerie la Licorne, Café la Rotonde, Galerie Quatre Chemins, Galerie Briant-Robert and Galerie la Ruche (1960), Russian Artists of the École de Paris (1961), Contemporary French Art in Moscow (1928) and one-man shows in New York (1936), Galerie Maurice (1952, 1958) and Galerie Serret-Fauveau (1963, 1965, 1967, 1972).
