Painter, graphic artist. Father of Musa Luppian. Born in Velikie Luki (1892) and moved to Petrograd (1922), where he studied at the Academy of Arts (1926–27). Member of the Masters of Analytical Art (1925–30). Accompanied the archaeological expeditions of the Nikolai Marr Institute (from 1920s) and headed the design team at the Museum of the History of Leningrad (from 1930s). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1927), including Masters of Analytical Art: The Filonov School at the House of Printing in Leningrad (1927).
