Anton Olschwang

Born: 1965, Moscow

Artist. Born in Moscow (1965). Graduated from the department of stage production of the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio (1987) and studied at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam (1995–97). Member of the Moscow Municipal Committee of Graphic Artists (from 1989). Leading Post-Conceptualist artist in Moscow (1990s). Lives and works in Moscow and Amsterdam. Contributed to Anton Olschwang and Olga Chernysheva at the Museum of the Cinema in Moscow (1993) and one-man shows at the Galerie Krings-Ernst in Cologne (1991), New Works at the Gallery Storm in Amsterdam (1992), Polyethyrs at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg and Gallery 1.0 in Moscow (1994), Age of Iron at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (1994), Living Void at the Moscow Fine Art Gallery (1999), Field of Battle at the Samara Museum of Art (1999) and Portrait in a Moving Frame at the Institute of Communications Museum in St Petersburg (2001).
