Osvaldo Yero Montero

Born: 1969, Camagüey (Cuba)

Cuban artist. Born in Camagüey (1969). Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana (1994). Studied at the Banff Center for the Arts in Alberta, Canada (1997). Lives and works in the United States. Contributed to the V Havana Biennale (1994), Una de cada clase at the Fundación Ludwig de Cuba in Havana (1995), Cuba siglo XX: modernidad y sincretismo at the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Fundación La Caixa in Palma, Majorca and the Centro de Arte Santa Mónica in Barcelona (1996), Mundo soñado at the Fundación Ludwig de Cuba in Havana and the Casa de América in Madrid (1996), Territorios utópicos at the Morris and Helen Belkin Gallery (British Columbia University) Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver (1997) and Contemporary Art from Cuba: Irony and Survival on the Utopian Island at the Arizona State University Museum in Tempe and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco (1998).
