Painter, draughtsman, lithographer, illustrator. Born in the family of Nikolai Yermolaev in St Petersburg (1903). Studied under Vladimir Fyodorovich and Mikhail Avilov at the Restoration Studios of Art/Petrograd College of Art and Industry (1921–25). Collaborated with various newspapers (1927–34) and magazines (from 1928). Illustrated children’s books. Member of the Community of Artists (1928–30), Guild of Artists (1930–32) and the Union of Artists (1941). Worked in the lithographic studio of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists (from 1940). Died in Leningrad (1982). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1928).
