Porcelain artist. Born in the family of Lavrenty Semyonov in Batanovka in Novgorod Province (1914). Studied at the school of art and industry of the Red Porcelainist Factory (1930–33). Worked as a sculptor and modeller at the Red Porcelainist Factory (from 1933) and the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (1937–41). Fought in the Second World War (1941–45). Returned to the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (1945), where he designed new forms of services and decorative vases. Won the Grand Prix for the Crystal and Sea vases at Expo ‘58 in Brussels (1958). Died in Leningrad (1978).
