Politician. Born in Simbirsk in the family of Fyodor Kerensky and Nadezhda Adler (1881). Leader of the Labour (Trudovik) Party in the Fourth Duma. Joined the Duma’s provisional executive committee (27 February 1917), simultaneously elected deputy chairman of the Petrograd Soviet. Joined the Social Revolutionaries (March 1917). Minister of justice and war in the Provisional Government (1917). Prime minister of Russia (21 July–7 November 1917). Emigrated to France (1918) and the United States (1940). Died in New York and buried at Putney Vale Cemetery in London (1970).
