The Scratchweed Goat
Once upon a time, there was an old man, an old woman, their daughter and a scratchweed goat. No matter what they did for their goat, the fastidious animal was always discontented. One day, the exasperated old man decided to punish the goat. The goat ran away and hid in the rabbit’s house. It did not even let the rabbit into its own house, so the rabbit went to the cockerel for help. The cockerel frightened the scratchweed goat, who fell into the fire and was burnt.
