Benois Family Museum

The museum is located in the former Ladies-in-Waiting Block, originally built in 1854 by Nicolas Benois, one of the members of this remarkable dynasty of architects, painters, sculptors, theatrical designers and musicians. The collection paints a fascinating picture of national and international art life in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The exhibits include works of painting and sculpture, graphic and decorative art, theatrical and architectural design, rare photographs and the personal possessions of members of the Benois family.

The museum is open from 10.30 am to 6 pm; ticket office closes at 5 pm
