Konstantin Gorsky
Painter, teacher. Born in the family of Nikolai Gorsky in Novocherkassk (1854). Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1872–76) and the Imperial Academy of Arts (1876–81). Awarded a major gold medal (1881). Foreign fellow of the Imperial Academy of Arts (1882–85). Taught at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1891–1918) and the Stroganov School of Art and Industry (1902–18). Died in Moscow (1943).
