Painter, draughtsman, engraver. Born in the family of Fyodor Gryaznov (1805). Studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (from 1813), where he was assigned to the engraving class (1819). Awarded a minor silver medal (1822), minor silver medal for painting (1824), major silver medal for drawing from life (1824) and a minor gold medal for portrait painting (1824). Contributed views of Orenburg Province to exhibitions at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1859–62).
