Painter, graphic artist. Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (early 1900s) and under Konstantin Korovin and Valentin Serov (from 1901). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1907). Collaborated with the Swan magazine (1908). Founding and committee member of the Moscow Salon (1910). Represented the Moscow Salon in the Union of Artists of Moscow (1917). Member of the First State Labour Commune of Artists and the Eos group. Taught at the studio of Avagim Miganadjian on Myasnitskaya Street in Moscow. Moved to the Altai (1918) and then Omsk after a bout of tuberculosis. Contributed to the exhibitions of the Moscow Salon (1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1917) and Artists of Moscow for Victims of the War (1914–15).
