Valentin Gerasimenko
Painter, graphic artist. Born in the family of Ivan Gerasimenko in Leningrad (1935). Graduated from the Faculty of Geography of Leningrad University (1958) and studied under Nikolai Akimov at the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography. Took up painting (mid-1950s), graphic art (mid-1970s) and easel graphic art (1980). Worked as a designer for Leningrad Television (1958–70). Member of the Fellowship of Experimental Fine Art (1981–90). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Contributed to exhibitions (from 1975).
