Sculptor, graphic artist. Husband of Maria Kharlamova. Born in the family of a Jewish musician called Abram Weinman in the Ukrainian town of Krivoi Rog (1913). Studied at Odessa Institute of Art (from 1930) and under Alexander Matveyev at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1937–46). Died in Leningrad and buried at Komarovo Cemetery (1973). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1947), including Portraiture in Russia: XX Century at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2001–02), Times of Change: Art in the Soviet Union (1960–85) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2006) and one-man shows in Leningrad (1971) and Moscow (1978).
