Painter, graphic artist, teacher. Born in the family of Andrei Pavlov in St Petersburg (1893). Studied under Vasily Shukhayev, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Dmitry Kardovsky and Vladimir Kozlinsky at the Academy of Arts (1917–22). Taught at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (from 1932). Died in Leningrad (1941). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1918). Member of the Community of Artists (1922–27), Sixteen (1923–24) and the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (from 1924).
