Draughtsman, lithographer, book designer. Born in the family of Alexander Tambi in St Petersburg (1906). Studied at the Proletcult studios (1920) and under Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and Alexei Karev at the VKhUTEMAS (1921–24). Member of the Community of Artists (1925). Worked at an experimental studio of lithography at the Union of Artists and under Vladimir Lebedev at the State Publishing House (1930s). Designed for Fighting Pencil (1941). Artistic editor of the State Publishing House of Estonia (1944–46). Died in Leningrad (1955). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1924).
