Painter, graphic artist. Husband of Natalia Yegorshina. Born in Moscow in the family of a professor of mathematics called Ivan Andronov (1929). Studied under Rudolf Frentz at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1948–52) and at the Vasily Surikov Institute of Art in Moscow (1952–54). Founder of the Severe Style in Soviet art (late 1950s–early 1960s). Died in Moscow (1998). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1951).
