Grand Duke Alexander Petrovich was the second child and second son of Peter the Great and Eudoxia Lopukhina. He was born in Preobrazhenskoe on 3 October 1691 and baptised on 1 November 1691. His godparents were a monk from the St Sergius Monastery of the Trinity and his aunt Natalia. Died in Moscow on 13 May 1692 and buried in the Archangel Cathedral.
