Grand Duke Boris Vladimirovich was the third child and third son of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich and Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna. He was born in Tsarskoe Selo (1877). He was a major general of the Hetman Life Guards Regiment during the First World War. He emigrated (1917) and married Zinaida Rachevskaya (1919). He died in Paris and was buried in France (1943).
