Painter, draughtsman. Adopted son of Maxim Vorobyov. Studied under his father at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1833–39). Awarded minor silver medals (1835, 1836), minor gold medal (1837) and major gold medal (1838). Worked in Italy as a fellow of the Imperial Academy of Arts (1840–46) and Tsar Nicholas I (1847–49). Academician (1846). Taught at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1855–72), second-class professor (1859). Lived at the Turmantas estate in Kovno Province (from 1868).
