Dmitry Osipov

Painter, graphic artist. Born in the family of Osip Osipov (1831). Studied history painting under Pyotr Basin at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1854–68). Awarded minor silver medals (1854, 1857), major silver medals (1856, 1858) and the titles of third-class artist (1861) and second-class artist (1868). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1857). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Imperial Academy of Arts (from 1857), Twosome at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2002–03) and The World of the Peasantry in Russian Art at the History Museum in Moscow (2005).
