Painter, engraver, teacher. Younger brother of Victor Bobrov. Born in the family of a merchant called Alexei Bobrov in the village of Gatobuzhi (Gotobuzhi) in St Petersburg Province (1849). Studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1867–72). Specialised in perspective views of rooms, such as the Library of Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich at the Anichkov Palace in St Petersburg (1869). Awarded the title of teacher of drawing in district schools (1871). Engraved vodka bottles (1883). Died in St Petersburg (1899). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1867). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Imperial Academy of Arts (from 1867) and St Petersburg: A Portrait of the City and its Citizens at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2003).
