Marlen Spindler
Artist. Born in the family of Pavel Spindler in Karakol on Lake Ysyk-Köl in Kyrgyzstan (1931). Moved with his family to Moscow (1932). Studied at the Moscow Film Studios School of Art (1947–51). Worked as a designer at the Combine of Decorative and Applied Art (from 1954). Studied in various studios. Lived and worked in Moscow. Died in Moscow (2003). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1958), including alongside the artists of El Belyutin’s Taganka studio (1962) and to the Hermitage exhibitions (1957–87).
