Victor Skalkin

Victor Skalkin (born 1938), Russian painter, graphic artist, theatrical designer. Studied at the 1905 School of Art and designed sets for theatres in Moscow. Member of the Union of Artists. Lived and worked in Paris and Plyos.

Painter, graphic artist, theatrical designer. Born in the family of Alexander Skalkin in Moscow (1938). Studied at the 1905 School of Art in Moscow (1957–62). Designed sets at the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theatre and Contemporary Theatre in Moscow (1960s). Member of the Union of Artists (1967). Lived and worked in Paris (1983–84) and the town of Plyos on the River Volga (from 1999). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1960).
