Cuban artist. Born in Havana (1964). Graduated from the Escuela de Artes Plásticas San Alejandro in Havana (1983). Joined the Puré group of artists (1986). Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana (1988). Fellow of Diverseworks in Houston, Texas (1991), ProHelvetia Foundation in Valais, Switzerland (1992) and Fukuoka City Museum, Fukuoka, Japan. Decorated by the Ministerio de Cultura de Cuba for his contribution to national culture. Fellow of the Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst, Aachen (1996). Founded the Enema group as part of his teaching activities at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana (2000). Lives and works in Havana. Contributed to the III Havana Biennale (1989), The Nearest Edge of the World.
