René Francisco Rodríguez Hernández

Cuban artist. Born in Holguín (1960). Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana (1987). Worked in a duet with Eduardo Ponjuán Gonzáles (1988–96). Fellow of the Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst, Aachen (1997). Lives and works in Havana. Contributed to Artista melodramatic at the Proyecto Castillo de la Real Fuerza, Consejo Nacional de las Artes Plásticas and Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana (1989), La década prodigiosa: plástica cubana de los 80 at the Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales in Havana and the Museo del Chopo in México DF (1992), Von dort aus: Kuba at the Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst in Aachen (1992), Kubanische Kunst aus der Sammlung Ludwig at the Kunsthalle Brandts Klaedefabrik in Odense, Denmark (1992), V Havana Biennale (1994), Una de cada clase at the Fundación Ludwig de Cuba in Havana (1995), Corriente alterna at the Centro Wifredo Lam in Havana (1995), VI Havana Biennale (1997) and Hedendaagse Cubaanse Kunst uit de Verzameling van het Ludwig Forum Aachen at the Museum Oud-Hospitaal in Aaalst, Belgium (2000).
