Yury Trizna

Graphic artist, painter, teacher. Born in the family of Stefan Trizna in the town of Ordzhonikidze in the Caucasus (1939). Studied at the Vladimir School of Art in Leningrad and the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1961–67). Taught at the Vladimir Serov School of Art (1968–70) and the Vera Mukhina School of Art and Industry in Leningrad (1970–76). Member of the Union of Artists (1974). Took up etching, monotype and silkscreen printing. Illustrated the works of Victor Hugo, Yury Olesha, Alexander Serafimovich and Valentin Rasputin. Took up painting (second half of 1980s). Died in St Petersburg (1991). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1968).
