Painter. Born in the family of a doctor called Victor Moravov in the village of Velikaya Motovilovka in the Ukraine (1878). Studied at the Nikolai Murashko School of Drawing in Kiev (1888–97) and the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1897–1901). Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Archaeology (1917). Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (1932). Died in Moscow and buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery (1951). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1899). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (1903–18, 1923), Moscow Society of Lovers of the Arts (1904, 1909), Moscow Art Circle (1918), Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (1923, 1927–29) and the Society of Realist Artists (1927, 1928).
