Alexander Konstantinovich Glazunov

Composer, conductor. Born in St Petersburg in the family of publisher Konstantin Glazunov (1865). Wrote orchestral works and the ballets Raymonda (1898) and The Four Seasons (1900). Professor (1899). Director of the St Petersburg Conservatoire (1905). Died in Neuilly-sur-Seine and buried at the Cimetiere nouveau de Neuilly (1936), reburied at the St Alexander Nevsky Monastery in Leningrad (1972).
