Dusya Galkina is a student who dreams of becoming a film star. She promises to love Goga Palkin, a cinema attendant, if he ever becomes famous. After a series of adventures, Goga is invited to perform a stunt at a film studio. He is hanging from the ceiling when Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks arrive. Mary kisses him on the cheek and Goga wins fame and Dusya’s heart.

Sergei Komarov (1891–1957) conceived the idea for this comedy when American film stars Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks visited Moscow in 1927.
