Irina Shevandronova

 Painter, graphic artist. Born in the family of Vasily Shevandronov in Moscow (1928). Studied under Vasily Pochitalov at the Moscow Secondary School of Art (1944–47) and under Victor Tsyplakov at the Vasily Surikov Institute of Art in Moscow (1947–53). Married painter Andrei Tutunov (born 1928). Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (1963), People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1989). Died in Moscow after a long illness (1993). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1951), including Times of Change: Art in the Soviet Union (1960–85) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2006) and a posthumous one-woman show at the Volga Picture Gallery in Togliatti (2014).
