Sergievka

Sergievka bordered the Own Dacha of Tsar Alexander II and was the estate of his sister Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna and her husband, Duke Maximilian of Leuchtenberg. Heinrich Stackenschneider built a new palace, known as the Leuchtenberg Dacha, in the form of an Italian villa. To this day, visitors are either amused or frightened by the enormous stone head protruding at the entrance to the park.
