Jerusalem

Jerusalem was the ancient capital of the Hebrew kingdom of Judah. The town can be seen from the Mount of Olives, where Christ made his prophecies of its apocalyptic fall. Jesus’ last days on earth are synonymous with the city of Jerusalem. Christ was greeted by the people of Jerusalem spreading their cloaks out on the ground during His triumphal entry into the city, and it was here that He was sentenced to death and tortured, before being crucified.
