Painter, graphic artist, object artist, installation artist, actionist, publisher. Born in the family of Aris Zakharov in Dushanbe in Tadjikistan (1959). Studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Vladimir Lenin Pedagogical Institute in Moscow (1977–82). Member of SZ (1980–84, 1990). Published Pastor magazine (from 1992). Lives and works in Cologne and Moscow (from 1989).
