Konstantin Väkevä (Wäkevä)
Finnish jeweller, silversmith. Elder brother of Alexander Väkevä. Hallmark: K.W. Born in the family of Stefan Väkevä in St Petersburg (1867). Studied under his father (1880s) and qualified as a silversmith (early 1890s). Worked in his father’s workshop (1890s), where he made silverware for Carl Fabergé. Died in St Petersburg (1902), where his work was continued after his death by his widow, Jenny Väkevä, who was awarded her own hallmark of J.W. (1902–17). Contributed to exhibitions, including Fabergén aika at the Museum Centre Vapriikki in Tampere (2006).
