Philipp Yeroshkin

Philipp Yeroshkin (1879–1936): Russian applied artist. Studied wooden carving under his father Dmitry Yeroshkin and worked as a carver of multi-figured compositions in Bogorodskoe. Founding member of the Crafts and Toy Artel in Bogorodskoe.

Applied artist. Born in the family of a wooden carver called Dmitry Yeroshkin in the village of Bogorodskoe near Sergiev Posad (1879). Studied under his father (1880s) and worked as a carver of multi-figured compositions (1890s–1930s). Founding member of the Crafts and Toy Artel in Bogorodskoe (1913). Died in an unknown location (1936). Contributed to exhibitions, including the Second Pan-Russian Exhibition of Handicrafts in St Petersburg (1913) and Fairytales in Russia at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2000).
