Ilya Pravdin
Painter, teacher. Born in Moscow in the family of an artist called Vladislav Pravdin (1944). Studied at the 1905 School of Art (from 1958) and graduated from the Vasily Surikov Institute of Art in Moscow (1972). Taught painting and composition at the 1905 School of Art (from 1966). Member of the Union of Artists (1974). Died in Moscow (1999). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1972), including Times of Change: Art in the Soviet Union (1960–85) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2006).
