Artist, architect. Born in the family of a Soviet soldier called Nikolai Vasilyev in Riga in occupied Latvia (1940). Studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Vera Mukhina School of Art and Industry (1959–65). Member of Petersburg (1963–73), Fellowship of Experimental Fine Art (1975–81), Union of Architects (1989), International Federation of Artists (1991), Union of Artists (1992) and the St Petersburg Academy of Modern Art of Immortals (1995). Contributed to apartment (from 1962) and official (from 1975) exhibitions.
